Aerobatics, vintage planes and transport, historical re-enactors and a fabulous 1940’s style swing trio – just some of the amazing attractions at this year’s Old Buckenham Air Show.

As the official Air Show photographer, I got to capture all the excitement of this fun packed two day family event.

Stars and Stripes; Old Buckenham has a fascinating history, it was home to the 453rd Bombardment Group, who were based at the airfield during  WWII.

Hundreds of classic cars were displayed by their proud owners

Not a greasy burger van to be found – The Food Village offered locally produced quality food.

Lots of fun activities for all the family – fancy a tank ride?!

The crowds flocked in for a fantastic air display featuring vintage planes and aerobatics

Local aerobatics team, The Wildcats, delighted the crowds again this year

The P-51D Mustang ‘The Shark’.  Built in 1945, this aircraft starred alongside the B-17 ‘Sally B’ in the Hollywood movie, Memphis Belle.

Wymondham 1986 Squadron Air Training Corps marshalling the event again this year, what a fantastic job these guys do.

You can even bring the dog!

The VIP marquee looked stunning once again.  Food provided by the award winning Brasted’s catering and events company.

Another of this year’s star attractions – the Mark IX Supermarine Spitfire MH434

For the first time at the airshow, the Messerschmitt ME108

The star of the show, the B-17 Flying Fortress ‘Sally B’, who played the lead role in the Hollywood movie, Memphis Belle.

The fabulous The Three Chordettes 1940’s style swing trio – these ladies were amazing and really wooed the crowds
