At the beginning of June, I travelled to Sheffield to photograph the annual UK Armed Forces Ice Hockey Tournament. This was my fifth year as tournament photographer; I consider it a privilege to be a part of this prestigious military competition, which seems to get bigger and better every year. Teams from across the three Services compete against each other over four days in two mini leagues to become Tri-Service Champions. The evenings are reserved for the Inter-Service Championship, where the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and the British Army battle it out for the highly coveted Inter-Service Championship Cup. Read More

I love to photograph dance, there’s just something special about the drama, elegance and passion of it that is so exciting to capture.
I’ve been wanting to try dance flour photography since seeing some images in a random Google search a while back. I enlisted the help of my friend Katie, a teacher at a local dance school, she was really excited about the idea and I started planning how to do the shoot and what sort of images I hoped we could create together. Anyone who follows my work will know how much I love to photograph ice hockey; a real photographic challenge filled with high speed action! It’s always a real treat to photograph an outdoor pond hockey tournament – different rules to a usual ice hockey game and always the hope that the sun may shine and there will be a bright blue sky! One of the great highlights of being the RAF Ice Hockey Association photographer is the annual RAF Championships which takes place in Dundee, at the end of summer each year.
RAF teams based across England and Scotland come together to compete for the highly coveted RAF Champions trophy.
