Let’s talk about pricing!

Have you ever been tempted by one of those ‘too good to be true’ offers?  You know the ones, free photoshoot or photoshoot, makeover and a print for £15.  Sound familiar?

If you’ve treated yourself to one of these offers, you were probably either disappointed with the finished images or you found yourself sat in a ‘high pressure’ selling appointment and left having spent thousands you hadn’t budgeted for.

I believe in honest, open and fair pricing.  If you’re anything like me, you probably want to know exactly what you are getting for your money and exactly how much it will cost you. This is how I run my business and this is the reason that all my packages include everything – the photoshoot, your finished, beautifully edited digital images and any hair and makeup if you’re booking a boudoir /makeover session.  There are no hidden costs and no ‘high pressure’ selling appointments.

Whether you’re booking a boudoir, maternity, newborn, mama and me or family session, a photoshoot is a ‘luxury experience’ and as such, you should expect that to be reflected in the price, if it’s not, you should ask yourself, ‘why not’? After all, minimum wage is over £10 per hour these days, you need to ask yourself why anyone would work for free or below minimum wage especially when they have a business to run and all the associated costs.

When you’re thinking about booking a photoshoot, always do your research beforehand.  Find a photographer who you feel comfortable with, whose ‘style’ you love and one who fits your budget.  Most importantly, don’t be tempted by ‘too good to be true’ offers.
