Lest we forget
Lest we forget
Events are back and boy have I missed photographing them!! By far one of my favourite events of the year is the annual Old Buckenham Air Show. Come rain or shine, the crowds flock to see the vintage aircraft displays, historical re-enactors, classic cars and military vehicles.
As the summer holidays draw to a close, I made the long trek north of the border to photograph my second ice hockey tournament of the year. I absolutely love the buzz of photographing ice hockey, it is a real passion of mine and tournaments have such a fantastic atmosphere. The RAF Championships is one of the great highlights of […]
‘If Carlsberg did ice hockey tournaments…’ The first week in June brings the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ – the UK Armed Forces Ice Hockey Tournament! 2019 marks my sixth time as tournament photographer; I consider it a real privilege to be a part of this prestigious military competition, which just gets better every year. Teams from across the […]
At the end of March, I made my second visit of the year to Telford with the Royal Air Force Ice Hockey Association. This time to photograph the annual Sportsman Day, which brings together members of the Association to recognise achievement over the past year.
Four years ago, Hockey Tutorial introduced the first outdoor ice hockey tournament in the UK, giving players the chance to experience pond hockey. I really love to photograph ice hockey and it’s always great to get the opportunity to photograph the sport outdoors. This year’s Winter Classic was held in Mansfield.
Do you love Star Wars, Marvel, Batman and pretty much anything ‘geeky’? then NorCon – the Norfolk TV, Film and Comic Con is for you!
As the summer holidays draw to a close, it’s that time of year again for my annual trip north of the border for the RAF Ice Hockey Championships; always one of the great highlights of being the RAF Ice Hockey Association photographer.
Vintage planes, military vehicles, historical re-enactors and a fabulous 1940’s style swing trio – just some of the great attractions at this year’s Old Buckenham Airshow. As official Air Show photographer for the 4th consecutive year, I got to capture all the excitement of this fun packed two day family event.
Stepping back in time with the Mid-Norfolk Railway’s 1940’s Railway At War Weekend; a nostalgic family event filled with re-enactment groups, living history displays, period stalls, military vehicles and themed stations.
The UEA Avalanche All Star game has become quite a tradition. Now in its fifth year, it was once again my pleasure to provide photographic coverage of the event.
Last weekend, with my camera bag packed, I headed off to the midlands to photograph my first event of 2018. The Royal Air Force Ice Hockey Association’s annual Sportsman Weekend brings together members of the Association to recognise achievement over the past year.
One of the great highlights of being the RAF Ice Hockey Association photographer is the annual RAF Championships which takes place at the end of summer each year in Dundee. RAF teams based across England and Scotland come together to compete for the highly coveted RAF Champions trophy. So with my kit bag all packed and lots of layers to […]
Aerobatics, vintage planes and transport, historical re-enactors and a fabulous 1940’s style swing trio – just some of the amazing attractions at this year’s Old Buckenham Air Show. As the official Air Show photographer, I got to capture all the excitement of this fun packed two day family event.
At the beginning of June, I travelled to Sheffield to photograph the annual UK Armed Forces Ice Hockey Tournament. This was my fourth year as tournament photographer. I am incredibly passionate about my ice hockey photography and I consider it a privilege to be a part of this prestigious military competition, which sees teams from the British Army, Royal Air […]
My heart always leaps with joy when Creative Arts East appears in my inbox asking me to photograph another event. Since first commissioning me in 2014 to photograph ‘The Trench’, a haunting play set during World War I, I have been treated to a veritable feast of creative offerings ranging from the abstract to the simply wonderful.
